I have a single student in my class with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This student demonstrates needs in developing empathy. At this time, I do not have outside support in addressing these needs for this student so any efforts will be my own, alone (hoping to look into additional services soon). My content area is language arts and finding time to address these specific needs is a challenge.
How might I support this student’s social emotional needs with so little time to invest?

I’m noticing that more behaviors are arising in class at this midpoint of the year. I am continuing to evaluate our practices and my interventions, but not quite understanding why this seemingly sudden shift in how my students are responding. Any tips?

What are some ways that you build relationships between students throughout the year in elementary school? I think the teachers at our school are great at doing it in the first few weeks but then don’t continue throughout the school year once standards are started. I would love to share some ideas at our next PLC!

Does anyone have read and circle worksheets for CVC words? (Where students read sentences like “The fox is red.” and circle the correct picture which in this case would be a picture of a red fox).

I would love to share with all of you the FREE program I designed for my RTOY advocacy! It is called Ride and Read! Any insight and or ideas that you could share would be fabulous. How do you modify your teaching when you have a significant number of students out with illness? For example, today half my Kindergarten students are out sick today, and I am reviewing some ideas with the students who are here while introducing a few new things that I can review as students slowly return. How do you handle situations like this when one or more students are absent?

What are some great resources for digital field trips that you use? I ❤️ 💗 ❤️ cilc.org. My 5th graders in Kansas have met with the Smithsonian American Art Museum, rangers from the National Park Services, docents from the National Archives, as well as several other locales across the United States!! (BTW, all .gov type institutions are FREE, as well as many others).
